V3R1 of Unix XPFC ....... and the XPREP variant which runs under Xerox Corp's XPSM Print Server system, now doesn't require "secret" access to a local C Compiler, otherwise it's a "no change" upgrade.

You should take a few moments to browse the XPFC Release V3R1 Summary to appreciate the scope of these recent changes

calapr97.gif (2502 bytes)

V3R1 of XPREP now has a VIPP driver incorporated so that it can be used to drive VIPP-enabled DocuPrint printers connected to XPSM systems . ...... and this is the release of XPREP that now doesn't require "secret" access to a local C Compiler.

This VIPP support enhancement was a joint project, with Xerox Corp sponsoring the development, and actively involved with the design and validation exercise.

This feature is therefore a Xerox "World Class" product, and will be maintained in line with both LPS and Xerox Corp directions and initiatives.

Maybe ..... just maybe ? ...... this enhancement will find it's way into the mainstream XPFC product line ?
